Opana 10mg (oxymorphone)

Opana 10mg (oxymorphone) is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.

Opana is used to treat moderate to severe pain.

The extended-release form of this medicine is for around-the-clock treatment of severe pain. Opana ER is not for use on an as-needed basis for pain.

Opana may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Important information about Opana 10mg

You should not use Opana if you have severe asthma or breathing problems, a blockage in your stomach or intestines, or moderate to severe liver disease.

Oxymorphone can slow or stop your breathing, and may be habit-forming. MISUSE OF THIS MEDICINE CAN CAUSE ADDICTION, OVERDOSE, especially in a child or other person using the medicine without a prescription.

Taking this medicine during pregnancy may cause life-threatening withdrawal symptoms in the newborn.
