Modafinil 200mg is used to treat symptoms of excessive sleepiness caused by such conditions as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, or shift work sleep disorder. It is also prescribed for all forms of excessive daytime sleepiness where causes can’t be identified.

How to take Modafinil:

Follow your doctor’s directions, never take less or more than precribed. Do not take this medication for longer than prescribed. Modafinil 200mg is usually given for 12 weeks or less. The usual prescribed dosage for these disorders is 200 mg once a day. For conditions other than shift work sleep disorder, Modafinil is normally taken in one dose in the morning or in two doses in the morning and at midday. It is not recommended to take modafinil after noon: taking it during the later part of the day may cause insomnia at night.
